The two-day event will kick off at 11 a.m. Friday, Aug. 26 and conclude at 6 p.m. on Saturday, Aug. 27. Admission is 8 dollars; children under 12 will be admitted free.
Excitement is growing for this affair, which is a frst for Douglas. Special events include a Wild Game Supper at the C.E. Weir Center on Friday at 7 p.m. For $13, guests can feast on a variety of wild game. The guest speaker for the supper will be Neil Rohrbach, host of the Outdoor Channel Outftters. Tickets may be purchased by stopping by Central Services Offce in Douglas or by calling 912-383-0277.
AWild Game Cooking and BBQ contest will be held on Saturday beginning at 6 a.m. and running until 1 p.m. in the vacant lot next to the City Hall. Categories include Wild Game, Chicken and Ribs. Entry fees are $30 for one category; $50 for two, and $70 for all three. Trophies and cash prizes from 50 to 100 dollars will be awarded to the top three fnishers in each
