Sapp and Marshall Ewing. He relocated to several downtown buildings during his early years, one being across the street from the courthouse, a location beftting a new lawyer.

As his law practice was growing, so was his family. From 1944 until 1955, the couple was blessed with three children, Curtis, Susan, and Dinah. The family had a good life growing up in Douglas as Arthur built his practice. When it was time for the children to choose careers, Curtis followed his father’s example and went to Georgia Southern and then in 1969, he became a cum laude graduate of Mercer

University, Walter F. George School of Law. He returned to Douglas and began to practice law with his father. They purchased the Jernigan home on Madison Avenue in the early 1970’s and turned the house into offces. After 40 years, this is still the home of the law frm.

Susan Farrar Parrish is an accomplished artist who married Douglas native Pratt Parrish, a computer engineer. They have two sons, Jason Parrish and Art Parrish who both became engineers; they reside in North Carolina with their wives. Dinah Farrar Leverette married
