He and Pam have two daughters, Mary Katelyn who is a junior at the University of Georgia and a majorette for the Redcoats and Miranda, a junior at Wayne County High School, who is one of the feature twirlers for the marching band. The family enjoys traveling to Athens during football season to watch Mary Katelyn twirl and cheer on the Dawgs. He states, “My home will always be Wayne County. I always took it for granted what we have here. We have a way of life that so many others I come in contact with envy. We have so many great natural resources right under our nose that many Georgians have to drive miles for, especially the Altamaha River. There is just nothing better than getting on a good perch drop, watching that big buck easing down a slue or hearing a gobbler sound off in the mist in the palmettos.” Spoken like a true country boy.
