Amos has chosen to serve the greater purpose of a greater need. That’s what makes life worth the living. Amos is following the calling that drove his father to fulfll James 1:27: “Pure religion and undefled before God and the Father is this, to visit the fatherless and widows in their affiction, and to keep himself unspotted from the world.” It guided his parents’ lives, and now it guides his own. Both his global
missions work and his photography, it turns out, serve the greater purpose of channeling resources and raising awareness of a greater need: that of the widows and orphans. WCM
