Hinds spoke about her family and coach in one breath. “He (Korda) is like my big brother. No one has a closer relationship.” Korda added that their teasing and banter fnally “gets on my wife’s and her mother’s nerves.” Hinds added that she is grateful for her family support and encouragement. “My mom was a swimmer so she made sure we swam. I found a ribbon from when I was four years old and won a race. Mom is going to put it in a quilt she is making out of all my ribbons. My dad is my travel buddy. He makes almost all of the meets and helps me keep my focus.”
