The Festival continued into the night, with after-hours “Juke Joints” (various venues within walking distance of the Festival featuring different musicians) and the ‘Midnight Troubadour’ Jam Session. Both were an exceptional way to get ’up close and personal’ with the musicians and their music.
Once the Festival began to wind down, questions began to arise, that just had to be answered.
ML: Of the overall weekend, what was your favorite part (besides music) of the production that you enjoyed the most?
Ronn: “I was able to attend the Midnight Troubadours session on Saturday night; it was attended by James Bolden, Eddie Turner, and several of the other band members. It was an awesome experience to get to hear and see these talented musicians get together and just jam with each other for a while. You could tell they were having as much fun playing together as the audience was having just being a part of listening to them.”
Lisa: “Watching how much fun people were having. Not just the folks I didn’t know, but the people I knew that weren’t necessarily Blues music fans. It’s like the music just opened up their hearts, and they really enjoyed it.”
ML: Did Blues Fest meet your expectations?
Ronn: “Yes, in the sense that we confrmed Midland is hungry for an event like this and that people were, and still are, excited about the Blues and future possibilities.”
"Everyone can relate to Blues music!
Whether you consider yourself
a fan of the Blues or not, is irrelevant.”

great music, education and an experience like no other.]
